Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML)

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s organization of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The mission of the LWML is to assist each woman of the LC-MS in affirming her relationship with the Triune God, enabling her to use her gifts in ministry to all people in the world.

Zion’s LWML unit consists of three Circles (groups) that meet monthly to study God’s Word and conduct business meetings.

  • Circle 1: Meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 PM at the church.

  • Circle 3: Meets on the second Thursday of the month at 2:00 PM at the church.

In addition, we have quarterly meetings for all women to plan events such as bridal or baby showers, a Christmas cookie exchange, a Human Care Fair, and the Annual LWML Prayer Service. We welcome all women in our congregation and encourage them to join us.

The mission of the Zion LWML is to help spread the Gospel and to serve people in need in whatever way we can. Our service projects include collecting clothing and school supplies for our local school, collecting clothing, health, and layette kits for the ND Orphan Grain Train, and supporting the District Mission projects by collecting Mites (money) each month. Our Service projects change from year to year depending on the need. We help members of our congregation by serving funeral lunches and congregational potluck dinners, leading Nursing Home devotions, and assisting our Pastor however we can.
