Book study meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM. The book we are studying is "A Martyr's Faith in a Faithless World" By Rev. Bryan Wolfmueller.
Pastor Preus is serving the vacancy at Bethlehem, Forbes on Saturdays with Bible Class at 5:00 PM and the Divine Service at 6:00 PM.
We will be hosting a church picnic on June 7th. Time and location to be determined.
VBS will be June 8th - 11th, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM here at Zion. It will be taught by the staff from Shepherd's Hill Camp. There will be 3 or 4 staff members that will need housing while they are here, please let Pastor Preus know if you would be willing to house some or all of them. We will also need a few volunteers to help with VBS.
May 14th, 6:30 PM- Ascension Day Divine service
May 17th- Graduate Recognition Sunday.
The ND District LWML Convention will be held in Devils Lake, June 26th-28th. Items will be collected for the Women's Care Center in Devils Lake. Needed items are diapers, unscented wipes, baby clothes, and baby and children's books. If you would like to donate any of these items or money to help buy these things let Carol know.
Thank you to the Zion Lady Quilters for all their hard work! This year one quilt will be given to each of our graduates and the rest will be given to different charities.
We will be hosting a Youth Social on May 16th, 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM. All youth are welcome to attend.
Luther Classical College Scholarship Endowment - Thanks be to God, a member of our congregation has offered an initial $30,000 gift toward establishing a scholarship endowment for students at Luther Classical College (LCC). Luther Classical College is committed to teaching students within a distinctly Lutheran, confessional, and classical framework, preparing them for faithful vocations in Church and world. If you would be interested in contributing additional funds to this endowment, please speak with Pastor Preus. We plan to host a representative from Luther Classical College to speak to our congregation in the coming year. In order to provide LCC with an accurate total, we ask that those interested in contributing let Pastor Preus know by May 16th.
